رستم خندید و گفت: «می‌بینی به تنهایی با آن‌ها چه کار می‌کنم.»

Rostam khandeed va goft: «Meebeenee be tanhâ-yee bâ ânhâ che kâr meekonam.»

Rostam laughed and said: "You will see what I do to them alone."

سپس رستم و اولاد تا نیمه‌شب در راه بودند تا به جایی رسیدند که همه‌جای آن آتش روشن بود.

Sepas Rostam va Oolâd tâ neeme-shab dar râh boodand tâ be jâ-yee reseedand ke hame-jâ-ye ân âtesh roshan bud.

Then Rostam and Oolaad were on the road until midnight, when they came to a place where fires burned everywhere.

رستم از اولاد پرسید: «آنجا کجاست؟»

Rostam az Oolâd porseed: «Ânjâ kojâst?»

Rostam asked Oolaad: "What is that place?"

اولاد گفت: «آنجا دروازه‌ی مازندران است. ارژنگ‌دیو فرمانده آنجاست.»

Oolâd goft: «Ânjâ darvâze-ye Mâzandarân ast. Arzhang-Deev farmânde-ye ânjâst.»

Oolaad said: "That is the Gate of Mazandaran. Arzhang-Deev is the commander there."

همان‌جا رستم اولاد را به یک درخت بست و خودش خوابید.

Hamân-jâ Rostam Oolâd râ be yek derakht bast va khodash khâbeed.

There Rostam tied Oolaad to a tree and slept himself.
